Our Story

We met at Roger Williams University in the Fall of 2004 acting together in a play. We shared many laughs and bonded instantly since neither of us considered ourselves actors. Come December of 2004, we went on a legendary date to The Nutcracker, something we now do every year. That year it poured outside instead of snowing, but that didn't ruin our night – we strolled home in the rain over the bridge in the Boston Gardens. Both of us remember it as the best date we've ever been on. And although there was always a spark between us, we didn't start seriously dating until after Peter graduated in 2006.
In 2009, we took the trip of a lifetime to New Zealand, a lifelong dream of Peter's (and by lifelong, we mean since the release of The Lord of the Rings movies). In NZ we volunteered on organic farms, met some unforgettable people, went skydiving and bungee jumping, lived in an earthship, climbed a glacier, rowed through glow worm caves, and found out that 8,000 miles and 10 months later we were still good company for each other.
We returned to the states to begin graduate school at Emerson College to earn our Master's degrees in different subjects. After a successful first semester at Emerson we spent Christmas Eve-Eve at The Nutcracker. After the show, we strolled along the bridge as we had 6 years before and Peter proposed to Ari. It wasn't raining that night, but we wouldn't have minded if it had been. Since then it's been a non-stop whirl of wedding planning, school and whatever else crazy kids in their mid 20's do. Thank you for being a part of our lives – we hope to see you in Rhode Island in August!
